At what stage is it recommended to begin preventative treatment against powdery mildew (Leveillula taurica) in peppers?

Powdery mildew in peppers is affected by two main factors: (a) environmental conditions: the most important and effectual being temperatures between 15-25oC; and (b) the physiological stage of the plant: the stage at which the pepper plant begins to be susceptible to the disease is when the fruit begins to set in the third inflorescence. Since these setting fruit appear about six weeks after planting and because at this time the environmental temperatures are optimum for the development of the disease, this is the best time to begin preventative treatment against the disease. Treatment should be given once a week to 10 days until the environmental temperatures drop below the optimum temperatures for the disease, or until after harvest of the first wave. (in December-January).
