This was the 8th consecutive year of the celebration of this event, with an average of more than 50,000 national and foreign visitors. It is worth mentioning that this agricultural zone is characterized by its extensive cultivations such as cotton, wheat, and a few vegetables among others.
As a result, demand for vegetable farming in this border area with the US is growing and, in order to satisfy this demand, it will be necessary to adopt more and better production technologies. As a result of this event, Zeraim Mexico presented products regarding these new technologies that will allow farmers more income in their businesses.
A few of the appealing products that were found in Agro-Baja were the display of greenhouse structures and shade houses, as well as a pavilion displaying nontraditional agro products. The majority of the states of the Republic participated in this pavilion with a variety of products also known as nostalgia and exotic products.
With much pride, we displayed our Zeraim Mexico stand with a pleasant and elegant appearance that helped to attract many of the visitors, such as independent technical advisers, agribusiness technicians, farm owners with interest in new technologies which, in the company of their families, paid us a visit and had the opportunity to learn about the fresh products that we presented. Some of these were the Cannon, María, Valeria, Valentina, Melchor and Luciana blocky peppers, in addition to information about the great variety of products for sale, as well as newly introduced ones that we handle, such as: Blocky peppers, Cluster, Roma and Cherry type Tomatoes, a variety of cucumbers and more…
Within the group that offered the sale of seeds and that also participated offering their services, we can mention companies such as Ahern, Keithly Williams and Gowan Semillas.
In general, the number of visitors to our stand was very acceptable, and we feel very satisfied for our participation in an event where the warmth of the family was felt. We feel certain that more than one of the visiting farmers will start their new project using new technology with objective of looking for the sense of taste and, Zeraim Mexico will for sure be present.
